In any test where people are asked to answer questions about
themselves, there is going to be variations from time to time.
All psychological instruments are subject to various sources
of error. People perceive themselves from what they might
naturally be. Their at-work persona is often different to
their at-home style. Work demands results, there’s stress
and there’s pressure to perform and earn a living by
doing the job well. So variations will occur. The purpose
of the questionnaire is to triangulate responses from a number
of similar questions and normalize any inconsistencies that
might result from answer variations.
